KURUNEGALA – Failed asylum seekers living on in the United Kingdom and Europe are flocking back home to Sri Lanka, as London gets tough on illegal immigrants. Asylum seekers are no longer that popular in Europe and the recent London bombing inspired crackdown on terrorists and suspect foreigners has made them even less so.

Rather than be caught without papers and deported, many illegal Sri Lankan immigrants are opting to come home voluntarily and are being helped to set up shop and start over.
