The SLIM (Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing) Brand Excellence Awards 2004 kicked off this week for the second year with an open invitation to the services brands.
“We are hoping that this year there would be more brands from the service sector. Many service sector organisations have strong brands, which have not got due recognition,” says Project Chairperson, SLIM Brand Excellence Awards, Mahesh Fernando.
All brands under the island sun, whether giants or dwarves, are invited to the December 12 party but must apply before November 10.
To pick the winners brands will be weighed on several criteria, including brand strategies, market performance and financial performance.
Customer satisfaction will be another aspect that is looked into when evaluating the brands.
