Formally knows as C F Ventures, V Capital recently restructured under a new, Malaysia based majority shareholder.
Under the restructuring V Capital exited all its investments to clear Rs. 75 million in capital.
V Capital also set up property developing subsidiary Jaya Sevena Housing (Private) Limited, investing an initial Rs. 30 million to build individual homes in the Mt. Lavinia, Dehiwala, Moratuwa and Bolgoda Lake areas.
V Capital Director Dr Z A M Thahir on Monday said “we have already purchased six blocks of land and will begin construction work on our first project by about mid February.”
“We estimate that each project will earn about Rs. 5 million in profits”
Dr. Thahir added that the property development industry offered an attractive return and a quick exit mechanism for the equity investing firm.”
