Cashing on a booming hospitality industry, conglomerate Hemas Holdings is infusing Rs. 100 mn to put up a luxury resort in the southern coast of Tangalle. Cashing on a booming hospitality industry, conglomerate Hemas Holdings is infusing Rs. 100 mn to put up a luxury resort in the southern coast of Tangalle. The concept paper for the 43-acre ‘Peace Haven’ property is currently being developed by Horwarth Asia Pacific and Hemas is scouting for an international hotel chain to manage it.

“It’s beautiful property, which ramps up to a 15 meter elevation. We want to develop it into a high end resort combined with residential mix,” Husein Esufally, CEO Hemas told analysts’ on Monday.

Hemas core strengths are in health and personal care products, which together contribute over 50 percent of total revenues. It also has interests in leisure, transportation, apparels and power generation.
