The bank left its repurchase rate, at which it drains money from the banking system, at 7.0 percent, while the reverse repurchase rate stays at 8.5 percent, the bank said Wednesday following its monthly Monetary policy review on Tuesday.

It reduced the rate by 2.75 percentage points in 2003 to the lowest since April 1997.
