The internet solutions and international calling card operator’s management and a team of equipment suppliers and financiers will call in US$ 25 million for startup infrastructure and a 150,000 telephone-line network.
Lanka Internet Vice President Thushara Seneviratne told Lanka Business Online on Tuesday: “We will have the equipment on the ground in 90 days ready to connect 150,000 customers anywhere in the island.”
Enhanced voice has been a much disputed topic in Sri Lanka, with network operators taking the country’s three enhanced voice license holders – Lanka Internet, LankaCom and Electroteks – to courts over several issues including provision of voice service in the local and international market.
