The Colombo Stock Exchange will go on tour to Australia and New Zealand, trying to convince potential investors to cash in on Asia’s best performing market. The Investor Road Show will begin in October this year led by a high powered delegation from the local exchange, investment advisors from broking firms and representatives of Unit Trusts and trading members.

“The CSE plans to invite Sri Lankans who live in Australia and New Zealand to be part of Asia’s best performing stock market and will highlight the prevailing opportunities to profit from the stock market,” the CSE said in a statement on Thursday.

The local exchange has been one of the best performing in the Asian region since 2001, with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) growing 30 percent annually over the last four years.

The ASPI has grown a massive 407 percent or 1643 points from October 2001 to July 2005, with levels of trading activity also increasing significantly.
