The Norwegian government will send a high level team on Saturday to explore possibilities of reviving the stalled peace process.
The delegation will include Deputy Foreign Minister Vidar Helgesen and Special Envoy Erik Solheim, the Norwegian Embassy said Wednesday.rn

rnDuring their stay, the team will meet President Chandrika Kumaratunga and S P Thamilselvan the Political Wing Leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).rn

rn"The Norwegian delegation will explore with the two parties possible ways to take the peace process forward and how Norway might assist in this regard," the statement said. rn

rnThe teams visit follows a request made by Kumaratunga to Norway resume its role as a facilitator in the peace process. rn
