July 23, 2008 (LBO) – Sri Lankan firms can gain more benefits by choosing software that is flexible to match the size and growth of a company and can be easily customized, a software vendor has said. Zillione Systems which launched Sage AccPac 5.5 for local customers this month, says the ERP (enterprise resource planning) accounting software gives reliable information for decision making.
“Companies need to capitalize on the technological revolution in finding the right application solutions and it should also support the increasing needs of the company,” says Tharmaraja Suresh, chief excutive of Zillione.
The firm says Sage AccPac 5.5 gives ‘dashboard view’ of a company’s operations allowing users quick decision-making support.
Though ERP systems can cost as much as 500 million rupees, firms need to find a software that match their requirements.
“Most of the ERPs, in the market are not user friendly,” says Kaushal Amuhengoda a senior manager at Zillione.
“When installing a new ERP it is important that the user feel comfortable with it other wise making the product a success around the customer is difficult.”
The company, which has been in business for 29 years, says
