Designer swimwear show to be held at Colombo Port

Swim Week Colombo Fashion

June 07, 2016 (LBO) - Colombo Fashion Week will showcase the latest trends in swimwear from June 24-26 at the ECT Terminal of the Colombo Port, organizers said. In collaboration with swimwear manufacturer Linea Aqua, the Swim Week Colombo will feature 14 Sri Lankan and international designers on the runway. "Swim Week Colombo is conceptualized with a big picture in mind, which is to create a destination for a global fashion season in Sri Lanka," said Ajai V. Singh, founder and president, Colombo Fashion Week.

The Colombo Ports Authority, which wants exposure for international cruise ships calling at the main ports in the island, sees synergy with the fashion show, and agreed to be the venue for it. The event will bring together swimwear designers, manufacturers, buyers, retailers and media and include presentations by industry practitioners as well as a retail platform, the organizers said.

Colombo Fashion Week will partner with OLU Tropical Water, the title partner, along with Nations Trust Bank, Hilton Colombo, Land Rover, Ramani Fernando Salons, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Leo Burnett and MSLGroup.
