October saw 59,442 visitors coming to the shores of the paradise island with arrivals from traditional western European markets inching upwards.
Arrivals from Germany and France went up by 19.7 percent and 57.0 percent this October compared to October 2003, while visitors from the UK showed a marginal increase of 0.1 percent.
UK recorded 9,279 visitors followed by 7,752 from Germany and 3,594 from France.
But the main tourist market was India that showed a 44.0 percent increase with 14,000 visitors.
However “tourists from Asian countries don’t increase very much during this time of the year. The winter season mainly attracts people from cold countries, mostly Europe,” says the Touris
