Top former Sri Lanka diplomat appointed to Dialog Telekom directorate
August 6, 2007 (LBO) – Jayantha Dhanapala, a top former diplomat, has been appointed to the board of Dialog Telekom, the celco said Monday in the stock exchange filing.
Dhanapala was a former Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs at the United Nations and had also been a prospective candidate for the post of Secretary General.

Dialog Telekom, a unit of Telekom Malaysia, is the country's largest celco with a market share of 60 percent.

The firm is also rolling out a CDMA fixed access network.
