Sri Lanka Commercial Bank named best
Nov 18, 2009 (LBO) - The Commercial Bank of Ceylon said it won 'The Best Bank in Sri Lanka' award for the 11th consecutive year from the US financial publications, Global Finance.
The awards ceremony took place in Istanbul, Turkey coinciding with the recent World Bank and IMF Sessions held there at which a number of Sri Lankan government and Central Bank officials also participated.

A bank statement said that in nominating Commercial Bank, Global Finance had taken into consideration its performance in 2008 in areas such as overall profits, market share in Sri Lanka and the relatively low cost income ratio.
