Jan 12, 2014 (LBO) – Private equity can help fast growing small and medium enterprises looking for finance Jupiter Capital Partners which is organizing a seminar targeting the sector said. “There are a lot of small medium and enterprise with very interesting business models who cannot grow without traditional banking and finance cannot accommodate them,” Indika Hettiarachchi, managing director of Jupiter Capital Partners said.
“We would like to highlight the fact that entrepreneurs can not only earn from operating a business but also by enhancing its value and realizing it by selling a part of it.”
The seminar would be held on January 22, at Colombo’s Taj Samudra hotel.
Indrajit Coomrasawamy, senior economist and former director at the Commonwealth secretariat will deliver the keynote address on the role of private equity to develop SMEs.
The Commonwealth Secretariat has helped PE in developing countries through its Commonwealth Development Corporation.
Jupiter Capital Partners’ Hettiarachchi, and Chanaka Wickramesuriya, former partner at LR Global will speak on the PE concept and investment process.
