Mar 09, 2007 (LBO) – Over 30 Sri Lankan advertising agencies will battle it out for the chilli of the year, at the annual advertising awards for the hottest, most creative ads. The awards ceremony is a joint initiative of the International Advertising Association (IAA) and the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (the 4A™s).

To be held in May this year by the Sri Lanka Advertising Association, the awards will be judged by a panel of local and international personalities, the association said in a statement.

A total of 32 ad agencies will take part in the ˜Chillies 2007™ awards, themed ˜Insight Inside™, – a weeklong event that will also have workshops, exhibitions and festivities.

Awards will be given in 19 categories of creative works. This year™s awards show embodies the philosophy of insights-led creativity, the statement said.
