Vietnam's Da Nang to get direct AirAsia service
Oct 05, 2011 (LBO) - Air Asia will start flying directly four times a week to Dan Nang in Central Vietnam from Kuala Lumpur starting December 16, the no-frills airline said.
The airline already flies to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Elsewhere in Indochina Air Asia flies to Siem Reap, Phnom Penh (Cambodia); Vientiane (Laos) and Yangon (Myanmar).

"Da Nang is one of the hidden gems of South East Asia and has so much to offer," AirAsia's regional head of Commercial, Kathleen Tan said in a statement.

"From its pristine beaches to historical sites, there’s surely something for travellers to enjoy.

"Apart from tourism, the city also serves as a shorter meeting point for local SMEs (small and medium enterprises) to trade within the country as it is located in central Vietnam."

Da Nang is home to three UNESCO world heeritage sites namely the ancient town of Hội An, Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary and Imperial City, Huế.

AirAsia said it is offering a promotional fare from 69 Malaysian ringgit, for bookings made between October 05 to 12.
