In December 2016, Asiri Surgical Hospital entered into a joint venture agreement with Cancer Treatment Services Hyderabad for the purpose of forming a joint venture company.
The joint venture company is to establish and manage cancer treatment centres in Sri Lanka, which provide radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiology services for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Cancer Treatment Services Hyderabad Private Limited is a company incorporated in India which provides comprehensive state of the art oncology services.
Asiri Surgical said in a stock exchange filing that they reported a capital gain of 185.5 million rupees through the sale of 2.7 million shares held in Asiri AOI.
Asiri AOI Cancer Centre (Private) Limited was formed as a fully owned subsidiary of Asiri Surgical Hospital in March this year.
