Ceylinco Life, has achieved record-breaking results in the first nine months of 2003, with a healthy 32 percent growth in premium income.
The firm said this week, that premium income had reached Rs. 2.24 bn as at September 30, 2003, reflecting a substantial 32 percent growth over the corresponding period last year. rn

rnThis was made possible by the sale of over 57,000 new policies in the period under review, at an average of more than 7,200 new policies a month. rn

rnBased on industry estimates, this is the highest number of individual life policies sold by any insurer in Sri Lanka, the company said.rn

rnThe companys Life Fund stood at Rs 8.5 bn at the end of the third quarter, more than Rs 2.0 bn higher than its closest counterpart among insurance companies of private sector origin.rn
