Nov 23, 2012 (LBO) – Sri Lanka based 24/7 Techies, a online technical support firm catering to micro businesses said it had raised 600,000 dollars from a capital raising event in the United States. 24/7 Techies (247techies.com), is an offshoot of Eureka Technology Partners, an information technology company that provides remote services to larger businesses.
24/7 Techies said it raised money in an event by 500 Startups, a US company which provides start up accelerator services including seed capital generating events.
Other investors in the firm include RajanAnandan (vice president Google India) Shailesh Rao (VP Twitter, International Operations), Pramod Bhasin (Founder Genpact) and India Internet Group, the company said.
A company statement quoted chief executive officer Dilendra Wimalasekere as saying that it can provide online technology services for a micro business with up to three employees for as little as 99 US dollars a month.
The firm which targets small and medium business (SMB) of up to 20 employees, says it provide ‘Fortune 500’ class support.
