Mobile Eye

Feb 29, 2008 (LBO) – Sri Lanka's Kay Jay Security has tied with Dialog Telekom to provide a closed circuit television (CCTV) monitoring through third generation mobile technology, the company said. "Under the new joint-venture, customers in Sri Lanka will be able to subscribe to a package that includes the installation of CCTV at their site location, be it a factory, warehouse, office block or any other facility," the company said in a statement.

"With the Dialog ˜mobile eye’ software, customers will be able to view all activities seen through their cameras via the 3G mobile phone or via the internet."

The firm installs a CCTV system that includes cameras digital video recorders (DVR) while Dialog supplies the third generation (3G) communications links and software.

Recording can be triggered automatically by movement and DVR picture quality is higher than earlier analogue systems, Kay Jay said.

"Recordings could also be emailed by its users at the click of a mouse, reducing the time spent on surveillance by managers."

Kay Jay says it has been in the security business for 35 years.
