May 12, 2009 (LBO) – Sri Lankan football fans now have the option to have interactive gaming sessions, download content and view English premiership football club Manchester United (MU) matches on the go with Bharti Airtel connections.

An agreement signed between Bharti Airtel and MU would give Bharti users in India, Sri Lanka and Seychelles direct access to stream video clips of matches, classic goals and games of MU, match feeds and reports and editorial features.

Bharti said customers would also have the option of viewing union of European football association Champion’s League Highlights on their mobiles.

"This major partnership will bring the action and the passion of Manchester United directly to the millions of fans of Manchester United across India and other Asian countries," said David Gill chief executive of MU.

MU is one of the richest football clubs in the world and has a fan base that runs into millions.

A few lucky customers would get the opportunity to travel with the MU team to European football champion league away matches, said Bharti Airtel.
