Danish authorities on Tuesday signed a development co-operation agreement to fund a multitude of projects yet to be identified.rnrn
The fresh aid facility will be in addition to the US$ 22 mn pledged at the Tokyo donor conference in mid June and will provide financial, technical and material resources for projects.rn

rnFinance Ministry officials insist that no maximum limit has been set, but say the assistance will be adequate for all identified projects. rn

rnThe two governments will identify urgent development work around the country along side the many projects that are being evaluated for the North and East. rn

rnIn April, Denmark provided US$ 60 million under a mixed credit scheme, which was channelled at developing the Oluvil Harbour, rehabilitation of Colombos sewage lines and the water supply of Nuwara Eliya and upgrades to the Milco Dairy plant. rn
