rnTRC is trying to implement an Asymmetric Regulatory Structure, essentially applying different criteria to regulate dominant players from the ones applied to the rest of the industry. rn
rnThe move comes on the back of industry opposition to SLTs bid to acquire Lanka Bell.
SLT already fully owns cellular operator Mobitel and others fear that the acquisition of Lanka Bell will create a monopolistic situation.rn
