He said the industries will give employment to 3,000 people.
The industries were producing, garments, bra cups, surgical gauze, interlocking cement blocks, slippers, steel and furniture.

Sri Lanka leases land for 52 industries

May 10, 2012 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's industry ministry will give land on 35-year leases to set up factories to start 52 factories, deputy economic development minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene said.
The cabinet of ministers had approved the plan to give land from 25 industrial estates to 52 selected industrialists, who will invest 2,040 million rupees.
