In Kuchchaveli in the eastern coast, 300 kilometres northeast of Colombo, 510 acres are being offered which the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said was near Pigeon Island and Marble beach.
The site contains 17 separate blocks of thick scrub jungle with beach frontage, the SLTDA said in an advertisement in the state-run Sunday Observer newspaper.
In Passikuda in Batticaloa also in the East, 56 acres were being offered for public facilities such as a shopping complex, aquarium, children's park restaurant or food court.
In Dedduwa Lake, 67 kilometres south of Colombo, an eco tourism related project was invited in a project area of 1318.4 acres of marshy land and a water body of 415.7 acres.
The project could consist of water bungalows, floating rooms and restaurants, observation decks and opportunities for boating, fishing, birdwatching, water sports.
Land near the Yala National Part in the south of the country was also offered for wildlife tourism and safari trekking.The SLTDA said selected proposals will be sent to a standing cabinet appointed reviewing committee for final decision by the cabinet of ministers.
