In the March 2012 quarter the firm made profits of 475 million rupees, up from 421 million rupees a year earlier, despite a steep increase in energy prices.
Tiles have state tax protection.

Sri Lanka Royal Ceramics to expand capacity

May 22, 2012 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's Royal Ceramics Plc, a tile and sanitary ware maker said it would expand capacity spending 600 million rupees.
The firm said in a stock exchange filing that extra capacity would be added to a factory in Eheliyagoda and the investment had a payback period of four year.
