The International Pepper Conference, established under the United Nations Economics and Social Commission for Asia Pacific is set o kick off on 30th October in partnership with Indonesia.

Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka are the major pepper producing countries which have permanent membership of the conference.

Sri Lanka produced 26,500 tons of pepper last year and earned 30.7 million dollars in export revenue.
