Aug 09, 2011 (LBO) - Commercial Bank of Ceylon has been judged Sri Lanka's best bank by Euromoney, a financial publication, the bank said.
The evaluation by Euromoney covered banks in all major countries in Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, North and Latin America, the Caribbean as well as the Nordic and Baltic regions.
"Being rated as best in Sri Lanka by an international publication of the calibre of Euromoney is an endorsement of our fundamentals and our strategic approach," Commercial Bank’s Chief Financial Officer Nandika Buddhipala said in a statement.
Commercial Bank has operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
