The information security policy is part of a series of guidelines the Agency will put in place to implementation common ICT standards and architectures and security framework across the entire government sector.
The policies will streamline and standardise the web presence of all the ministries, departments, statutory bodies, foreign missions, provincial councils, district secretariats and division secretariats, which will be connected to each other under the LakGovNet project.
The main aim of the policies however will be to help avoid barriers for cross sharing of information.
For instance some of the guidelines will impose standards for internet access.
