July 25, 2013 (LBO) – Sri Lanka™s Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), provider of management education said it will launch its course on public policy for business leaders, academics, researchers and government officials on August 01. While resource persons include IMF's Sri Lanka resident representative Koshy Mathai, Lloyd Fernando, Indrajit Aponsu, W A Wijewardena, Saman Kelegama, Uditha Liyanage and Rohan Perera.

The program is principally for business leaders, CEO™s and heads of divisions/departments as well as senior managers with at least 8 years experience.

Lloyd Fernando, program director - Public Policy, PIM said in a statement that senior executives of government regulatory authorities such as the Board of Investment, Export Development Board and the Central Bank, as well as Development Banks will be encouraged to participate.

The three month course will consist of six separate modules and commence on July 25.

Some of the areas of study that will be included are Foundations of Public Policy, Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy and Trade and Balance of Payments Policy, Strategic Planning and Current Developments in the International Investment Environment.
