Two of the largest port operators in the region are keen to invest in the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) operated by the Ports Authority.

rnThe JCT, through which containerisation was introduced to the island, has seen massive productivity gains over the last year.rn
rnThe overall container traffic growth at the port is expected to hit 14 percent this year, making it the fastest growing port in the world.rn
rnChairman of the Port Authority, Parakrama Dissanayake however says, the government should review any plans to privatise the JCT,
