Oct 10, 2012 (LBO) – An Asia-Pacific trade forum to be held in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo will have sessions focusing on small and medium enterprises and member of regional chambers in the island will take part, the island’s largest business chamber said. Local SME’s will have a special session to interact with speakers from the Asia Pacific area who will share their success stories providing an opportunity to discuss and learn from their experiences.
There will be a session on ‘E-Trade for SME Integration in Regional/Global Value Chains.
Expert presentations will be made by Somnuk Keretho, from the Kasetstart University of Thailand on Enhancing Paperless Trade for SME Exports and Wang Jian, from the APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance, China International Electronic Commerce will speak on E-trade and Its Impact on SMEs: Case of China and Lessons for Asia Pacific Region.
V. V. Rajasekhar from the International Trade Centre, Geneva will speak on
‘E-choupal: ICT for Integrating Farmers into Value Chains in India’.
