The Japanese auto corporation’s Chairman and Chief Executive Osamu Suziki dropped in for the launch, on his way back home after the annual general meeting at his Indian car making unit – Maruti Udyog.

Motor marvels Chairman Ruchi Gunewardene told Lanka Business Online that the concept would help differentiate the two brands, Suzuki and Citron, coming under the local auto dealer.

Gunewardene says the 24 hour concept is a first for brand new vehicle distributor here and in the region.

If the 24-hour concept catches on, Gunewardene says the company would consider replicating the centre in other parts of the island.

Currently 1000 brand new and over 5000 reconditioned Suzuki’s ply local roads, with the first of the brand brought to Sri Lanka back in 1983.
