This Champika and yahapalanaya are dreaming or hallucinating..
Can not they first Talk the talk before they could walk the walk?
This is just rhetoric & gibberish to fool the masses to boost their egos to show they are at work.
Super rich does not need SL, they have places to go to.
We can have the Tamil Natu tourists
Hope the Chinese will not sabotage the SL market & instead turn to Europe.
Whilst we have antogonised China, USA, UK have benefitted through their investments since.
Whom are we trying to please??????? others & not ourselves? why?
This educated Champika is now behaving like an idiot.
Do not know what Ranil saw in him as not to offer him a portfolio that require technical know how.

The macro economic dynamics that can support development on this scale can be perceived these dynamics demand more than tourism. They require that the islands natural ecosystems be regenerated, rehabilitated and developed so that smart, resilient and sustainable habitat can be nested within these systems. Infrastructure will have to be serviced, maintained and developed. Support systems and their supply chains will have to be rendered sustainable and resilient. These are the activities that will generate the million jobs that the government is looking for and it is these jobs done properly that will attract higher paying knowledge based activities to the islands ecosystems and habitat. There will certainly be a large flow of tourists to the island but tourism will not be the biggest revenue generator of the western megalopolis. That role will be played by trade in many goods and services as well as vast flows of capital flowing through the island to the IOR-ARC. SAARC, BIMSTEC and ANTARCTICA.
