July 25, 2013 (LBO) – Allianz Lanka, unit of Germany’s Allianz said it had launched an investment-linked insurance product where “finance savvy” customers can select a plan that fits their risk appetite and protection needs. The consumer insights show us the way to develop products to suit their palate,” Allianz Lanka chief executive Surekha Alles said.
“Our results in life operations in the last four years are very encouraging. We are just building on the strong foundations and trust placed by our customers.”
The ‘Allianz Powerlink’ branded product is ideal for “finance savvy consumers who are on the lookout to maximize their investment potential,” the company said, though expert advice is on hand.
“Customers have the ability to select their investment plan according to their risk appetite and required protection,” the company said.
Sandamal Hettiarachchi, Allianz Lanka’s general manager, life sales and distribution said the product comes with three investment options; aggressive, conservative and moderate.
“This is for the top of the pyramid consumers,” he said “Most of them are aware of the financial risks they take and some look up to Allianz’s expertise to solidify their decisions.”
