Sri Lanka Charter House clinches Maldives hotel deal

Nov 12, 2009 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Charter House International, a marketing and distribution group, said it has won an order to supply a new resort hotel run by Mount Lavinia Hotel Resorts in a Maldivian atoll. The company said in a statement it will supply bathware and sanitary fittings and hotel equipment for the TClub Vakarufalhi in the Maldives.

The resort, located on the Maldivian South Ari Atoll, is a new project from Mount Lavinia Hotels and Resorts to cater to mostly Italian and Swiss clientele, with operations to commence in December 2009.

The management for Charter House attributed success to the company’s ability to offer a mix of products catering to exacting requirements, as the design of the project required a “challenging configuration of products.”

Sanath Ukwatte, chairman, Mt Lavinia Hotel said the Maldivian project required “elegant and minimalist” designs of bath ware which Charter House was able to match with the brands they represent.

The mix of products offered by Charter House for the TClub Vakarufalhi project include Grohe sanitary fittings from Germany, Bravat designer sanitary ware from China, Inda bathroom accessories and hair driers from Italy.
