Sri Lanka must make inciting racial violence a non bailable offence: Minister

Mar 06, 2018 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera said that inciting racial violence must be made a non bailable offence.

“Enough is enough, the minister tweeted, yesterday "Inciting racial violence must be made a non bailable offence and politicians who give leadership to such violence should be deprived of their civic rights,” the message added. The ministers comments come following several unfortunate racial violence incidents that took place in the Kandy.
