Sri Lanka sells USD165.25mn of one and two year development bonds


July 27, 2015 (LBO) – The issue of Sri Lanka development bonds amounting to 50 million US dollars have been oversubscribed with 172.50 million US dollars of bids received from investors.

The central bank has accepted 110.00 million US dollars of one year and three months bonds at a floating rate of weighted average margin over six month LIBOR of 342.99 basis points.

The bond auction held during 21 to 27 July has received bids amounting to 59.25 million US dollars for two year bonds and accepted the same at a floating rate of 365.36 basis points.

113.25 million US dollars worth bids have received for one year and three months bond, the Public Debt Department of the Central Bank said.
