Sri Lanka sells USD301mn of one and two year development bonds

July 13, 2015 (LBO) – The issue of Sri Lanka development bonds amounting to 75 million US dollars have been oversubscribed with 301.0 million US dollars of bids received from investors.

The central bank has accepted 291.0 million US dollars of one year and one month bonds at a floating rate of weighted average margin over six month LIBOR of 330.97 basis points.

The bond auction held during 07 to 13 July has also accepted 10.0 million US dollars of two years and nine months bonds at a floating rate of 360.00 basis points.

293.0 million US dollars worth bids for one year bond and 12.0 million US dollars worth bids for two year bond received from investors, the Public Debt Department of the Central Bank said.
