Sri Lanka sells USD458mn in fixed and floating rate bonds

Jan 20, 2016 (LBO) – Sri Lanka has sold fixed and floating rate dollar denominated bonds worth US 458 million dollars, a statement said.

The Central Bank called offers to sell US 225 million dollars of bonds for settlement on January 23.

The Central Bank said in a statement that they sold 225 million US dollars of one-year fixed rate bonds at an average rate of 4.2611 percent and 30 million dollars of floating rates bonds at 300 basis points above six-month Libor.

The 85 million dollars of floating rate bonds were sold for 335 basis points above six-month Libor.

A 118 million dollar tranche of 3-year and 2-month bonds were sold at 375.55 basis points above Libor.
