Sri Lanka stocks close flat

Apr 27, 2015 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's stocks closed lower, 0.07 per cent with activity seen in the finance sector stocks and a net foreign inflow, brokers said. The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed 04.66 points lower at 7,125.12 down 0.07 per cent. The S&P SL20 closed 0.82 points lower at 4,022.44 down 0.02 per cent. “There was a net foreign in flow of 149 million rupees with foreign participation accounting for 26 per cent,” Lanka Securities said. Foreigners bought 248 million rupees worth of shares while they sold 99 million rupees. Turnover was 670.29 million rupees up from 614.39 million rupees, Friday with 85 stocks closing positive against 83 negative. In the Finance sector, Commercial Credit closing at 62.60 rupees, down 0.80 rupees and Abans Finance closing at 31.90 rupees, up 5.50 rupees. Singer Finance closed at 21.60 rupees, up 0.40 rupees and Valliable Finance closed at 52.50 rupees, up 1.50 rupees. In banking stocks, Hatton National Bank closed flat at 230.00 rupees and Commercial Bank closed at 171.20 rupees, up 0.20 rupees.
Distilleries closed at 241.40 rupees, up 0.40 rupees and John Keells Holdings closed up at 208.00 rupees, up 0.50 rupees.
Dialog Axiata closed flat at 11.30 rupees.
