Sri Lanka stocks close up 0.1-pct following four days of losses

Jun 12, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s stocks closed up at 0.14 percent following four days of losses with index heavy stocks making gains Friday, brokers said. The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed 9.76 points higher at 7,061.28 up 0.14 percent. The S&P SL20 closed 7.99 points higher at 3,914.01 higher 0.20 percent. Turnover was 1.6 billion rupees, up from 835 million Thursday with 102 stocks closing positive against 74 negative. The top gainers were John Keells Holdings closing at 194.30 rupees up 3.70 rupees and Hayleys closing at 350.00 rupees, up 20.00 rupees. In the banking sector, Sampath Bank closed flat at 255.00 rupees and DFCC closed at 207.30 rupees, down 0.70 rupee. Commercial Bank closed at 161.00 rupees, down 0.10 rupees.
