Sri Lanka stocks close up 0.3-pct Turnover low

July 14, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s stocks closed up 0.35 percent on Tueasday, for a fourth consecutive session with telecom stocks continuing to showing gains, brokers said. The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed 24.22 points higher at 7,027.10 up 0.35 percent. The S&P SL20 closed 3.84 points higher at 3,920.13 up 0.10 percent. Turnover was 367.3 million rupees, down from 531.24 million rupees Monday with 65 stocks closing positive against 59 negative. The main index showed gains in Sri Lanka Telecom closed at 48.00 rupees, up 2.90 rupees and Aitken Spence Hotels closing at 79.50 rupees, up 3.50 rupees. Dialog Axiata closed at 10.60 rupees, up 0.10 rupees. In banking stocks, Hatton National Bank closed at 209.90 rupees, up 0.80 rupees and Commercial Bank closed at 165.00 rupees, up 0.20 rupees. DFCC closed at 191.40 rupees, down 2.70 rupees.
