Aug 04, 2015 (LBO) – A team from Zen-Noh, the Japanese National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations, are visiting Sri Lanka to help promote exports of coco peat, a sustainable replacement for peat moss in plant cultivation.

The visit of the four-member team has been arranged by the Export Development Board, a Commerce Ministry statement said.

“Zen-Noh will provide technical consultancy services to develop coco peat products in Sri Lanka, identify constrains in production and create awareness of Lankan coco peat among Japanese buyers,”

“Zen-Noh is one of the world’s largest federations of agricultural cooperatives and is involved in the marketing, tracking, and quality assurance of the products of its cooperatives.”
