June 17, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Rum Punch, an exclusive brand of resort wear is to be retailed on Zalora – Asia’s largest online fashion store, later this month.
“We were very impressed by Rum Punch’s perspective on fashion,” said Joanne Teh Ai Ling – Swimwear Buyer at Zalora.
“It’s chic, trend right, and adds something new and exciting to our portfolio.”
Rum Punch is a designer brand for the stylish, fun and hip young woman which was launched as a catwalk collection in 2014 both in Sri Lanka at the Sri Lanka Design Festival and internationally at the London Graduate Fashion Week.
The brand was founded by Rukshika Fernando Seneviratne, a graduate of Northumbria University UK and Binara Seneviratne, who has on over a decade of experience in operations and management at MAS Holdings and amanté.
Online fashion retailer, Zalora, sells over 1,500 global fashion brands such as Mango, Dorothy Perkins, River Island, DKNY, Miss Sixty, Marc Jacobs, Levis, New Look, Nike, Daniel Wellington, and many others amongst a carefully chosen and curated portfolio of fashion brands.
With distribution across 10 markets in the Asia Pacific region Zalora’s online portal visited by over 20 million visitors per month viewing and purchasing from 20,000 plus products.

Rum Punch will be available locally in July, through fashionmarket.lk, a chic online fashion store with curated looks comprising of designer pieces. The brand is also in the process of exploring other retail avenues with leading local retailers and plans to target resort destinations such as the Maldives, Seychelles and Mauritius in the near future.
