Sri Lanka’s CA gets new head, Lasantha Wickremasinghe

Jan 27, 2016 – Sri Lanka’s Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA Sri Lanka) held the ceremonial induction of the 23rd President in Colombo, Tuesday.

He took over the reins of the institute from Arjuna Herath.

Wickremasinghe, an FCA, functioned as the Vice President during Herath’s tenure prior to his elevation as President of the institute, which spans a history of over 56 years.

Speaker of Parliament, Karu Jayasuriya was the chief guest  at the event and Giancarlo Attolini, Chairman of the International Federation of Accountants SMP Committee, was the guests of honour.

He served in the CA Sri Lanka Council since 2006 and is a board member of the Confederation of Asian Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and technical advisor to the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). He is a Partner at B.R. De Silva & Co., Chartered Accountants.
