Sri Lanka’s former president’s supporters protest in front of Parliament

Apr 21, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s people who support former president Mahinda Rajapkse, are presently protesting at the entrance to the parliament.

The protesters are calling for the reversal of the summons of the former president to the Bribery Commission.
Sri Lankan police have set up barriers at the entrance to the parliament and also read the court order to the protesters, issued by the Kaduwela Magistrate pronouncing that no protests should be held near the Parliament or its surrounding areas as it is a high security zone.

Sources say that police has given the last waning saying that they might have to use minimum force against protesters.
