Sri Lanka’s Global Glass to set up Double and Triple Glazed Units, Plans for regional exports


June 12, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Globe Mirror Industries, a glass merchant and a processor, rebranded as Globe Glass, said that it plans to set up a Double and Triple Glazed Units, to expand its product portfolio while expanding exports to region.

“We have planned to set up our own double and triple glazed units which will adhere to international standards,” Firaz Nawaz, chairman of Globe Glass, said in a statement.

“Our expansion plans include exporting to regional countries in the near future,”

“We are keen to bring foreign exchange into Sri Lanka in support of the country’s development process.”

The company has two glass-processing plants in Colombo.

Globe Mirror Industries was established in 1969 as a family business of glass merchants focused on imported glass and producing handmade mirror for the local market.

The company imports glass from Guardian Glass Group, St. Gobain Glass India and Ozone for processing.
