To pursue a national strategy for economic progress the agriculture no doubt plays a vital role. Every leader talked about this and nothing has happened. But finally we got a leader who has already implemented most of the things to make most of agriculture actors viable business proposition. We will be luck to see huge farms in Sri Lanka another one years time. People chose to go to farm instead doing a peon job at a office or drive a three wheel. Not only tea and rise but for all other crops a minimum price need to be introduced. The government with collaboration of private sector should implement large scale warehouses to properly store crops. The excess need to be in high quality to start mega scale exports.
