Sri Lanka’s Sunshine Holdings appoints new member to Board of Directors

Dec 21, 2017 (LBO) -The Board of Directors of Sunshine Holdings PLCd appointed Sanjeev Shishoo, formerly the corporate Vice President of global healthcare giant, Novo Nordisk’s Global Service Centre (GSC) in Bangalore, as a Director of the Company. The appointment is effective January 1, 2018. With the new appointment, the Board of Sunshine Holdings PLC will now be comprised of 11 Directors of which seven are non-executive, independent directors. A qualified healthcare management professional, Sanjeev Shishoo, counts over 25 years with Novo Nordisk, previously as Vice President, Business Area Oceania & South East Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur, Vice President, Regional Office Far East based in Bangalore and the Vice President of the Regional Office in India. Shishoo holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Pharmacology and a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - Calcutta, a leading Business School in India and has a track record of creating high performing teams that deliver ambitious targets and is skilled in marketing strategy & implementation. Building healthcare brands has been his passion and was responsible for making Novo Nordisk’s insulin, Mixtard, the Number 1 Pharma brand in India. The Board of Directors of Sunshine Holdings PLC comprises M. Shaikh, G. Sathasivam, V. Govindasamy, N.B. Weerasekara, B. A. Hulangamuwa, S.G Sathasivam, H. D. Abeywickrama, A. Talwatte, R. Kobbekaduwa, and A.  Cabraal.
